Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and LG Innotek to Participate
CES Asia Unveiled Seoul to Be Co-Hosted with CTA
Robotics, Mobility, Advanced Components, and More

More than 500 domestic and international companies, including Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, will showcase innovative technologies that apply artificial intelligence (AI) to industrial sites and everyday life.

KES 2026 (the 57th Korea Electronics Show), hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Electronics Association (KEA), will be held from October 13 to 16 at Halls A and B of COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Launched in 1969, the Korea Electronics Show is a leading exhibition that has grown alongside Korea's electronics and information technology (IT) industries. This year's theme is "AI in Motion: From Technology to Reality, from Imagination to Movement." The show will highlight how AI is moving beyond technology development to real-world applications in industrial settings and everyday life.

More than 500 companies from 28 countries will participate, including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, LG Innotek, and Daeduck Electronics. They will showcase AI-related technologies and products across six fields: ▲AI Transformation (AX) ▲robotics ▲mobility ▲digital health and lifestyle ▲extended reality (XR) and spatial computing ▲electronic components and materials.

This year, the show will co-host "CES Asia Unveiled Seoul" with the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) of the United States to share global technology trends and expand exchanges among domestic and international industry professionals. A CTA delegation, including CTA President and CEO Kinsey Fabrizio, will also visit Korea to take part in the opening ceremony, opening keynote, media events, and business networking programs.

Through these efforts, the Korea Electronics Show aims to move beyond an exhibition introducing domestic innovations and become a platform that connects Korean companies with the global technology ecosystem and creates business opportunities leading to CES 2027.

To mark its 50th anniversary, KEA is launching new initiatives for the era of industrial AI. The opening ceremony will feature the 21st Electronics and IT Day awards recognizing contributions to the industry and the presentation of the 15th KES Innovation Awards, followed by the launch of "K Connect AI 2026." K Connect AI is an integrated platform that brings leading exhibitions from industries such as semiconductors, robotics, and manufacturing together under one brand to promote cross-industry AI convergence and business collaboration.

At the opening keynote session on the afternoon of the first day, the CTA will present its outlook on technology and industry trends at CES 2027, followed by presentations from NVIDIA Korea, MangoBoost, and HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering on AI infrastructure and industry-specific applications.

Visitors can explore technologies across a range of fields, including AI-powered home appliances and smart homes, industrial automation, autonomous driving, and digital healthcare. Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics will showcase AI-powered home appliances, smart-home technologies, and solutions for industrial and workplace innovation. In robotics, exhibitors will present physical AI technologies that perceive and interpret real-world environments to perform tasks, as well as industrial automation technologies.

In mobility, LG Innotek, SWM, Spintech, and others will showcase future vehicle and autonomous driving technologies, as well as advanced sensors. In digital health and lifestyle, Ceragem and others will introduce health and lifestyle solutions that combine AI with digital technologies. In XR and spatial computing, Mopic, Overlay, and others will exhibit glasses-free three-dimensional (3D) displays and XR design solutions. Daeduck Electronics, Samwha Electric, Wooju Electronics, and others will present key components and materials technologies that support the AI and mobility industries.

Participation by international companies and domestic innovators has also expanded. European companies will participate through the EU Business Hub joint pavilion, while international organizations and companies, including the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), will also exhibit. Korean companies, including ARTO AI, Enhance, PlasBio, and Sigbot, will present technologies in AI, robotics, and advanced sensors.

Business programs have been arranged to support exports, investment, and technology collaboration. The KES Innovation Awards selected a total of 42 entries from 35 companies as innovative products and technologies: 26 products and technologies from 20 Korean companies, and 16 from 15 companies across nine countries. As AI applications expand from home appliances and healthcare to manufacturing, robotics, and mobility, advanced hardware technologies such as sensors, optics, and semiconductor substrates have also drawn attention.

During the exhibition, the KES Match program will connect participating companies with domestic and international buyers, venture capital firms (VCs), accelerators (ACs), and technology adopters. It will support consultations on exports, purchasing, investment, technology transfer, and commercialization. Docent tours and KES Biz Connect will also provide more opportunities for domestic and international companies and industry professionals to network.

Park Jaeyoung, KEA Vice Chairman, said, "KES 2026 is an opportunity to show how AI is bringing tangible change to industry and everyday life, going beyond advances in technology. By fostering connections across industries through K Connect AI and building global ties through CES Asia Unveiled Seoul, we will expand KES into a global platform where innovative technologies meet markets and create business opportunities."
