Hanam City, headed by Mayor Lee Hyun-jae, announced on October 12 that it would hold anniversary programs in five categories—performances, exhibitions, outdoor events, indoor events, and events in the library's collection areas—at Gamil Library, which opened on October 1 last year.

From October 13 to 18, “Autumn, a Book Outing Together” will take place at Gamil Culture Park. An outdoor reading and picnic area will be set up so residents can enjoy the autumn atmosphere while reading.

On October 18, there will be a “Celebratory Balloons Made by a Clown” event for children, along with special performances. The program will feature “Dinosaur Magic Show,” centered on dinosaurs, and a dramatic reading performance based on the popular children's story “General's Rice Cake Shop.”

Participatory educational programs will also be offered, including board games combining children's philosophy and coding, essay-writing activities, and classes using artificial intelligence (AI). The detailed schedule is available on the Gamil Library website. For inquiries, contact Gamil Library.

Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae said, “I would like to thank all the residents who have loved the library over the past year. I hope the whole family will make warm memories at the first-anniversary celebration.”

He added, “We will continue working to establish the library as a cultural retreat for the local community, where books and people come together.”
