Experts from academia, government, and industry to participate
Exploring technical and legal issues and practical response strategies
Kim & Chang (hereinafter, Kim & Chang; Managing Partner Jung Kyesung) is holding a seminar on security issues and regulatory responses in the age of Agentic AI (autonomous, proactive AI).
Kim & Chang said on October 12 that it will hold a seminar titled "Agentic AI and Specialized Models: Security Issues and Regulatory Responses" at 2 p.m. on October 13 in the conference hall on the third floor of Crescendo Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Sponsored by Kim & Chang, the seminar is a public seminar of the Information Security Forum, hosted by the Korea Association of Information and Telecommunications Law.

However, it may also bring new types of security risks, including the misuse of privileges, prompt injection, information leaks during application programming interface (API) integration, the assignment of liability, and audit log management, increasing the need for institutional and governance reviews.
As the regulatory environment continues to change rapidly, including with the AI Basic Act, which took effect in January this year, companies face the need to design security controls and compliance systems across every stage of AI adoption and operation.
The seminar will discuss technical and legal issues, as well as practical response strategies, focusing on ways to control autonomous capabilities as Agentic AI and specialized models proliferate, and on corporate internal control systems for responding to cyber crises.
The seminar will open with remarks by Lee Seongyeop, a Korea University professor and president of the Korea Association of Information and Telecommunications Law, followed by a welcoming address from Kim & Chang lawyer Jung Youngjin.
The presentations will be divided into two sessions. Lee Sanggeun, a professor at Korea University's Graduate School of Information Security, will present on "Trends in the Autonomous Capabilities of Agentic AI and Ways to Control Them," while Kim & Chang lawyer Han Hyewon will speak on "Directions for Designing Corporate Internal Control Systems for Cyber Crisis Response."
Kwon Taekyung, a Yonsei University professor and chair of the Information Security Forum, will moderate the following panel discussion. The panelists will be Lee Juhyeong, a professor at the University of Seoul School of Law; Park Kiung, a professor in Sejong University's Department of Information Security; Lee Jonghyeok, director of the Information Security Industry Division at the Ministry of Science and ICT; Min Kyungpyo, chief information security officer (CISO) at KakaoBank; and Cha Yunho, an advisor at Kim & Chang.
Lee Seongyeop, president of the Korea Association of Information and Telecommunications Law and organizer of the event, said, "The spread of Agentic AI and specialized models is maximizing corporate productivity and efficiency, while also raising new types of security risks and liability issues stemming from autonomous tool calls and system integration. I hope this seminar will serve as an important guide for companies to develop effective technical controls and internal control systems amid a rapidly changing regulatory environment, and to build a safe and trustworthy AI ecosystem."
