"0500, I Had a Feeling": Lucky U.S. Man Wins on All 50 Tickets After Picking the Same Numbers
$5,000 prize per ticket
Scores a $250,000 windfall
A man in the United States became the lucky winner after buying 50 lottery tickets with the same numbers and winning on all 50.
According to UPI and other outlets recently, a man from the Lowcountry region of South Carolina won on all 50 tickets he bought for the Pick 4 lottery using the same numbers.
He bought the tickets ahead of the evening drawing on August 18. The numbers he chose were "0-5-0-0." Pick 4 is a lottery game in which players choose four digits. A player wins a set prize if all four digits match the numbers drawn in the exact order.

The result was astounding. The winning numbers in that evening's drawing were 0-5-0-0, and all 50 of his tickets won. Each ticket cost $1 and paid out $5,000, bringing his total winnings to $250,000 (about 350 million won).
The South Carolina Education Lottery said the winner did not want his identity disclosed and did not release his personal information. After winning, he said, "I probably won't buy tickets with these numbers again," adding, "I don't think I'll be lucky enough for this to happen again."
In Pick 4, it is not uncommon for people to buy dozens of tickets with the same numbers and win large sums.
In June 2022, Alicia Chapman bought 54 lottery tickets in Virginia. Forty matched the numbers in the exact order, while the remaining 14 won through a 50-50 play, bringing her total winnings to $236,400. In April of the same year, Larry Speight won $210,000 after all 42 of his tickets won. He had picked the numbers based on his car's license plate.
