The stamps will be produced in sheets of 140,000, along with stamp albums and other items. They can be purchased at a nearby main post office or through the online post office.
On October 10, Korea Post held a ceremony at the Stamp Museum in Seoul Central Post Office to present the commemorative stamp to Faker, and opened the “Faker Special Exhibition Hall.” Visitors can view the stamp and collectibles such as his game uniforms. The exhibition also features videos of key matches and an area where visitors can try out games.
Faker, who debuted in 2013, is a legendary professional gamer in the history of global esports. He has won the “League of Legends” (LoL) World Championship six times and the domestic LCK title 10 times. In 2024, he was selected as the first inductee into the Hall of Legends, established by LoL developer Riot Games. In January this year, he became the first esports player to receive the Cheongnyong Medal, the highest grade of the Order of Sport Merit. Korea Post pursued the stamp issuance in recognition of Faker's achievements and symbolic significance.
Whether to issue a commemorative stamp is decided after review by the Stamp Committee operated by Korea Post. Experts in history, culture, sports, art, and design, as well as stamp-collecting experts, take part in reviewing proposals. Under current regulations, the committee can have up to 20 members, including its chairperson. The Faker commemorative stamp reportedly received strong support during the review process. Korea Post said in an earlier media interview that “most members of the review committee supported issuing it.”

In 2023, Korea Post issued 10 types of stamps, totaling 1.5 million, to mark the 10th anniversary of the debut of the group BTS. The stamps depicted the members' activities and their journey to building a global fan base through their music. A commemorative stamp packet featuring portraits of the members was also sold separately.
