Yongsan-gu, Seoul, headed by District Chief Kim Gyeongdae, will hold the “Charming Yongsan Walking Event” on October 15 at 10 a.m. around Geobuk Soccer Field and the walking trail at Ichon Hangang Park. The event brings people with and without disabilities together to walk and communicate.
The event aims to improve awareness of people with disabilities and provide an opportunity for people with and without disabilities to spend time together and better understand one another. It is organized by the Yongsan-gu Welfare Center for People with Disabilities and supported by the district. About 600 people, including residents and volunteers, are expected to take part.
Experience and information booths, along with food stalls, will be set up at the venue. The 2.7-kilometer walking course is a round trip that starts at Geobuk Soccer Field, follows the walking trail through Hangang Park, and turns back beneath Dongjak Bridge. Visitors who collect stamps at the experience and information booths can also receive a souvenir. Individuals and groups are welcome to participate.
