Coupang will give 5,000 won in Coupang Cash to customers whose orders were canceled because of the system outage. It is notifying eligible customers in stages about the compensation and payment schedule.

Coupang Eats also suffered disruptions, including suspended delivery orders. In some cases, orders that had been accepted could not be marked as prepared because of the system outage. In others, riders arrived at restaurants but could not confirm customers’ addresses and were unable to make deliveries.

Coupang Eats will give a 3,000-won coupon to customers whose food orders were canceled. Customers with a failed order attempt will receive a 1,000-won coupon.

Riders whose accepted orders were canceled during the outage will receive 1,000 won if their arrival at the restaurant can be confirmed. If an order was canceled after the food had been picked up, Coupang Eats will reimburse the full delivery fee for that order.

Restaurant owners will also receive separate compensation for orders canceled after they were received.
