Yangju's Cheonilhong Autumn Festa Draws 80,000 Over Five Days

About 80,000 people visited the 2026 Yangju Cheonilhong Autumn Festa, held at Nari Nongwon in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, over five days. This year, the farm’s admission fee was refunded in full as Yangju Sarang Gift Certificates, which visitors could spend at participating local businesses.

View original imageYangju City said on October 8 that about 80,000 people visited the festival, held on September 26 and 27 and October 3-5. Performances, hands-on activities, and market programs took place throughout the farm, where globe amaranth, pink muhly grass, and cosmos were in bloom.
Performers included local cultural arts and intangible heritage groups such as the Yangju Municipal Arts Troupe, Yangju Opera Company, Yangju Sori Nori Arts Troupe, and the Yangju Sangyeo and Hoedaji Sori Preservation Society. There were also a sing-along show featuring the Mommy Katuri characters for families, a bubble magic show, and the Yangju Barrier-Free Music Concert.
Visitor-participation events included busking along the flower paths, recreation activities, and a treasure hunt in the flower fields. The experience and market zone, featuring local small businesses, public institutions, and organizations, offered a range of activities and products. A Yangju City promotional pavilion and a Cheonilhong pop-up zone were also set up.

On October 5, the festival’s final day, the Cheonilhong Autumn Festa Marathon was held under the auspices of the Yangju City Sports Council. The city plans to improve its programs and visitor services based on the festival’s results and feedback from attendees.
