Close, on-the-ground communication and securing national and provincial funding
Making Cheongdo a "Great Place to Live"
On the 100th day since taking office, Cheongdo County Governor Park Kwonhyeon is stepping up regional innovation and field-focused communication-based administration, guided by the vision for his ninth popularly elected term: "The happiness of county residents is Cheongdo's strength."
Soon after taking office, Park demonstrated his ability to respond on the ground by visiting drought-stricken areas and securing the operation of more than 400 wells, as well as 1.1 billion won in provincial special adjustment grants.

He has also worked to improve the organization's internal culture through "on-site communication and work-report sessions in towns and townships."
Cheongdo County is pursuing five key initiatives based on 61 campaign pledges.
In agriculture and the economy, the county aims to establish an agricultural products distribution center, support people moving to rural areas, and revitalize neighborhood commercial districts.
In the future and youth sector, the county plans to improve living conditions by providing settlement subsidies to people moving to rural areas and pursuing an extension of the Daegu Metropolitan Area Wide-Area Railway (Daegyeong Line) to Cheongdo.
The county also plans to expand resident-centered, open administration by developing cultural and tourist destinations designed for longer stays, providing close-knit welfare services through "Cheongdo-style integrated care," and introducing a KakaoTalk petition channel.
