Korea Investment & Securities to Offer 5% Special-Issue Promissory Notes on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
5.0% annual yield for a one-year term or 4.7% for a six-month term for customers who meet requirements, including depositing new funds.
Korea Investment & Securities said on October 8 that it would offer special-issue promissory notes carrying an annual interest rate of 5% on a first-come, first-served basis through the end of October.
The special offer is available to BanKIS customers making their first transaction with Korea Investment & Securities this year, as well as customers who deposit new funds.
Customers who meet the requirements can subscribe at contracted annual yields of 5.0% for a one-year term or 4.7% for a six-month term. The offer runs through the end of October and will close early if the allocation is exhausted.
Customers who hold an account with Korea Investment & Securities can subscribe at contracted annual yields of 4.4% for a one-year term or 4.1% for a six-month term.
Since becoming the first securities firm in South Korea to receive approval for short-term financial business from the Financial Services Commission in November 2017, Korea Investment & Securities has continued to expand its promissory note business. As of the end of September, it manages approximately 24.5 trillion won in funds through promissory notes and Investment Management Accounts (IMAs), among other products.
