A total of 100 university students were selected as volunteers for the third cohort of Hyundai Jump School Indonesia: 40 from the University of Indonesia and 30 each from Bandung Institute of Technology and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology. With Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology joining the program for the first time with the third cohort, Hyundai Motor Group will run education volunteering and career mentoring programs with three Indonesian universities.
The third-cohort university student volunteers in Indonesia will provide educational support to about 400 young people through June 2027. They will also receive advice on career planning and development from Hyundai Motor Group employees and working professionals serving as mentors.
Earlier, on September 12, Hyundai Motor Group held the completion ceremony for the sixth cohort and launch ceremony for the seventh cohort of Hyundai Jump School Vietnam at the InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
In Vietnam, 100 sixth-cohort university student volunteers completed a year of educational volunteering for young people, and 100 new university student volunteers were selected for the seventh cohort. Hyundai Motor Group is working with the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam to expand cultural experience programs for local young people.
In October, Hyundai Motor Group will also invite outstanding university student volunteers from the second cohort in Indonesia and the sixth cohort in Vietnam to Korea for an educational visit program. Participants will connect with university student volunteers from Korea, Indonesia and Vietnam and share their experiences in educational volunteering in each country.
Hyundai Jump School is Hyundai Motor Group's social contribution program, which helps young people, university student volunteers and working-professional mentors grow together through educational volunteering and mentoring. University student volunteers support young people's learning and development, while working-professional mentors help the student volunteers with career planning and development.
Since launching Hyundai Jump School in Korea in 2013, Hyundai Motor Group has expanded the program to Vietnam in 2020 and Indonesia in 2024. It provides participating university students with scholarships, capacity-building programs, and mentoring from company employees and working professionals. Outstanding volunteers are also given the opportunity to visit Korea.
