Choi Taewon to Lecture on EBS's "Great Minds"... Pitches New Capitalism for AI Era
Appears as the first lecturer in Season 6 of "Great Minds"
Emphasizes using AI to solve social problems and Korea-Japan Economic Cooperation
Airs October 12-16... Q&A with young people also planned
SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won will appear on EBS's "Great Minds" to emphasize the importance of a new form of capitalism for the age of artificial intelligence (AI) and economic cooperation between Korea and Japan.
According to EBS on October 8, Choi will be the first lecturer in Season 6 of "Great Minds," which begins airing on October 12. Over the past five years, the program has featured leading scholars from around the world, including economists, philosophers, and scientists, discussing key social and economic issues.
Choi will deliver a lecture titled "AI, New Capitalism, and Young People." He will argue that a form of capitalism built around new values is needed to address changes in industrial and employment structures driven by AI, at a time when economic growth alone is not enough to solve social problems. He will also introduce experiments and experiences from initiatives he has pursued over the past 10 years.
He will also propose ways for young people to use AI to help solve social problems. In addition, he will explain his vision of "Korea-Japan Economic Cooperation," which calls for the two countries to create new growth opportunities through economic collaboration.
During a question-and-answer session with young people, Choi will share his thoughts on how he anticipated and prepared for the age of AI, how he uses AI, and what fields he would pursue if he could return to his 20s.
