KB Financial Group said on October 7 that it is sponsoring a Korean cultural experience program to help learners at the King Sejong Institute Foundation experience the Korean language and culture. The foundation is a public institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism that promotes the Korean language and culture through 273 King Sejong Institutes in 89 countries worldwide.

The program is being held in conjunction with the foundation's "2026 Invitation and Training Program for Outstanding King Sejong Institute Learners." A total of 357 learners from around the world who have come to Korea plan to wear hanbok and visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jongmyo Shrine and the Gwanghwamun area.

Lee Jinhee, a professor at the Korea National University of Arts who has worked as a costume director on Korean films and dramas, selected the hanbok for the learners to wear. KB Financial Group is covering all the costs of the experience program.

A KB Financial Group representative said, "We hope this program will give Korean-language learners from around the world, who are studying Hangeul—a precious cultural asset that is both the root of our culture and a means of communicating with the world—a chance to gain a deeper understanding not only of Hangeul but also of the appeal of the culture it embodies."
