Hanwha's AI Energy Management System 'EnergyFluo' Named in U.S. Next Big Things in Tech
Selected by Fast Company in Applied AI
Reduces Data Center Power Costs by 5-25%
AI Safety Evaluation 'UL 3115' Certified
Hanwha's AI-based energy management system, 'EnergyFluo', has been named in the 'Applied AI' category of the '2026 Next Big Things in Tech' by the U.S. business media outlet Fast Company.
EnergyFluo is a system that analyzes real-time power usage in data centers and identifies the causes of issues to optimize power consumption. According to Hanwha, this system can reduce electricity costs by 5 to 25 percent.
Fast Company evaluated that EnergyFluo possesses capabilities such as independent monitoring of data centers, analysis of root causes of issues, and decision-making for optimizing power consumption. The media outlet also highlighted Prime Group, a U.S.-based company, as an example of adopting this technology in building edge data centers nationwide.
EnergyFluo has also acquired the 'UL 3115' certification, a standard for safety assessments of AI-based products. According to Transgrid Energy, EnergyFluo technology was one of the earliest AI-based products to receive the UL 3115 certification as of March 2026.
Fast Company's 'Next Big Things in Tech' is a program that selects technologies in various fields based on their innovation and potential to drive future change.
Transgrid Energy, the developer of EnergyFluo and a subsidiary of Hanwha Futureproof, develops and operates energy infrastructure such as power equipment and energy storage systems (ESS) for large-scale power-consuming facilities, including data centers, in the United States.
