KT's 'Everyone's AI' Moves Into Everyday Actions... "Building Security Governance"
Utilizing Upstage, Motif, and NC AI Models
Rebellion NPU Powers the Domestic AI Ecosystem
Full Rollout of Real-World Services Begins in December
#. "Check if I'm eligible for our neighborhood's Youth Monthly Rent Support and tell me how to apply." Without having to painstakingly read complex announcements on the community center website, an artificial intelligence (AI) system analyzes eligibility requirements and organizes the necessary procedures and required documents. When preparing for a trip, it finds accommodations based on your schedule and preferences, and even helps book and register your itinerary. Going beyond merely searching for information, this homegrown alliance of AI systems is now fully operational, executing real-world tasks requested by users, such as reservations and applications, all the way through to completion.

View original imageOn October 7, KT announced that a consortium of leading Korean AI companies—including Daum, Upstage, Motif, NC AI, Saltlux, and Rebellion—will launch the "Everyone's AI" initiative aimed at delivering AI services that the public can directly experience in daily life. At the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Festa 2026" held at COEX in Seoul on this day, the KT consortium set up an "Everyone's AI" experience zone at the KT booth to welcome visitors.
The core strategy is "Eum Inside." This approach goes beyond conventional AI, which simply answers questions or provides search results, by seamlessly integrating AI into a broad range of everyday services—including shopping, finance, real estate, and education. Users can access integrated services simply by pressing the Eum Inside button through familiar access channels such as the web, applications (apps), or Internet TV (IPTV).
Kyunghoon Cha, Head of KT's AI Platform Team, explained, "Rather than relying on a single foundation model, each Korean AI company—recognized for its proprietary technology—takes on the area in which it excels, collaborating together. To the user, it may feel like using a single AI, but in reality, multiple AI models operate in an organic manner." Motif focuses on analyzing and understanding vast amounts of data spanning hundreds of pages and long contexts. NC AI provides specialized services that generate 3D content as well as speech and sound, based on the user's ideas.
Upstage is responsible for general-purpose chatbot and document analysis. The "Solar Pro 4" model, which specializes in high-level reasoning and agent work, has proven its competitiveness on global leaderboards. For everyday bulk processing of short texts, the speedy and lightweight "Solar Mini 4" model is applied. Jiyoon Han, Leader at Upstage, noted, "We are presenting AI models that offer basic Korean language proficiency and execution ability, maintaining speed and efficiency even with multiple concurrent users," adding, "'Solar Pro 4' has improved agent work performance by 4.8 times compared to its predecessor."

View original imageKT serves as the central orchestrator, connecting a variety of domestic AI models into a single system. Its core technology, "Token Factory," analyzes the characteristics and difficulty of user queries to match them with the most suitable model, thereby reducing unnecessary computation and maximizing operational efficiency. This increases token processing per minute (TPM) by about 31%, and the "prompt compression" technology reduces input tokens by up to 80%, boosting GPU utilization.
This initiative is also significant in terms of the growth of Korea's AI ecosystem, as it uses domestic technology for hardware infrastructure. The consortium plans to secure service stability and enhance global competitiveness by utilizing a neural processing unit (NPU) cluster powered by domestic AI semiconductors developed by Rebellion. Beginning this month, "Everyone's AI" will enter a closed beta service phase to validate key functions and service stability. The focus is on providing optimal answers to natural language queries related to weather, everyday information, stocks, and people.

The official nationwide service is scheduled to launch in December 2026. In the full rollout, the AI service will be further enhanced to meet real-life demands—for instance, fulfilling requests such as "Find me an apartment that is convenient for commuting and within my budget," by analyzing complex datasets like apartment information, pricing, and surrounding infrastructure at once. To address recent security concerns, the consortium is establishing governance protocols and plans ongoing improvements during the beta period. Kyungnam Lee, Head of Daum Division, stated, "We are addressing and remedying issues such as reservations being made due to incorrect contextual understanding or usage history, and we are also consulting with the Ministry of Science and ICT."
