"So Far, Four Companies Attracted KRW 9 Billion in Investments"
After receiving initial investments, companies in Busan that need funding to scale up their businesses will meet with major domestic investment firms, including those based in the Seoul metropolitan area.
At 1:30 p.m. on October 7, 2026, Busan Metropolitan City will hold the '4th BugiTech Investment Show 2026' at Exhibition Hall 1 of BEXCO. This event, organized in conjunction with '2026 FLY ASIA,' will bring together more than 70 participants, including fund managers supported by Busan Metropolitan City, investors based in the Seoul metropolitan area, and representatives from local companies.
'BugiTech' is Busan Metropolitan City’s investment matching program designed to directly connect promising Busan-based companies with investors. The program creates opportunities for investment attraction and supports sustained follow-up funding.
This investment show is focused on attracting follow-up investments for companies at the “scale-up” stage, after their business models have been validated and they are ready for full-scale business expansion.
Six companies will participate in the company introduction session (IR), including 'Resol,' a developer of brain health wellness devices; 'Newrizon,' a developer of electrostatic-based nanofilters; as well as 'Chainlogis,' 'SLM,' 'IEN,' and 'Acromet.'
Fifteen companies, matched in advance with investors according to investment demand, will hold separate investment consultation sessions. The scope of participating investment firms has also been expanded. A total of 26 major domestic investors, including managers of Busan Metropolitan City-created funds, SBI Investment, and Kolon Investment, will participate to assess the potential for follow-up investments in Busan-based companies.
There will also be a session to share recent trends in local venture investment. Korea Venture Investment's Southeast Investment Center will present on “Regional Venture Investment Trends and Operation Status.” In addition, an update will be provided on the management status of Busan’s Regional Innovation (New Deal) Venture Fund, Busan Future Growth Venture Fund, and Busan Innovation Scale-up Venture Fund, all established by Busan Metropolitan City.
The program will also feature “reverse pitching” sessions, in which investors directly share their investment strategies with companies. Inlight Ventures (CEO Park Moonsoo), Big Move Ventures (CEO Choi Hyungseop), and Now Investment Capital (CEO Lee Seungwon) will introduce their main investment areas, strategies, and the funds they are currently managing.
Busan Metropolitan City regularly organizes the 'BugiTech Investment Show' four times a year. The 'BugiTech Investment Roadshow,' designed to broaden networks with metropolitan investors, is also held monthly.
To date, connections have been made between 166 companies and 271 investors, providing opportunities for company presentations and investment consultations. As a result, four companies have successfully attracted investments totaling approximately KRW 9 billion.
