Lotte Construction Adds 'AI Voice Control' to Smart Home App: Just Say "Turn Off the Living Room Lights" to Your Phone
First in Korea’s Construction Industry to Introduce Voice Recognition
On October 7, Lotte Construction announced that it has become the first construction company in Korea to introduce an artificial intelligence (AI) voice recognition control service to its smart home application. Without the need for a separate AI speaker, residents can issue voice commands directly through the 'Lotte Smart Home 2.0' smartphone app to control devices in their homes.

Lotte Construction has replaced this process with a simple spoken command. No additional equipment such as an AI speaker is necessary.
After opening the 'Lotte Smart Home App' installed on a smartphone, users can say commands like "Turn on the living room lights" or "Set the air conditioner to 25 degrees," and the AI analyzes the space, device, and command content to immediately activate the device. The results of these controls, such as lighting status or set temperature, are instantly displayed on the app screen.
This service was co-developed with Lotte Innovate and is built on the Lotte Group's proprietary AI platform, 'Aimember.' It marks the first time that the group's AI technology has been applied to an actual residential environment. The service is integrated into the existing home network system, 'Lotte Smart Home 2.0,' and will be gradually introduced to upcoming Lotte Castle and Leell apartment complexes.
Lotte Construction plans to initially apply voice recognition to frequently used features such as lighting on/off and air conditioner operation/temperature setting, and then expand its scope to include functions like parking location identification, community facility reservations, and energy management.
