Bucheon City Offers 50% Off Admission to Major Attractions for Local University Students
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on October 7 that it will offer a 50% discount on the admission fees to six major attractions in the city for students from four local universities: The Catholic University of Korea, Seoul Theological University, Bucheon University, and Yuhan University.
The six participating facilities are Supia at Bucheon Lake Botanic Garden, Bucheon Luminarae, Bucheon Ecological Park, Korea Manhwa Museum, Bucheon Robo Park, and Bucheon Astronomical Science Museum. Students can receive the discounted admission by presenting their student ID card or a certificate of enrollment. Regular admission prices for these facilities range from KRW 3,000 to KRW 12,000.
Bucheon Luminarae, the nighttime attraction at Bucheon Ecological Park, provides the benefit through a local currency refund. The admission fee remains KRW 12,000 per person, with KRW 6,000 being refunded as a paper-type Bucheon Love Gift Certificate for each guest.
The city expects that the discounted admission to its main attractions will provide students with greater opportunities for cultural and leisure activities, while also revitalizing the use of local sites. In particular, it is expected to help international students experience Bucheon's cultural and tourism resources and promote them domestically and internationally through social networking services (SNS).
