Deloitte Anjin to Hold Seminar on Korean Business Environment for Japanese Companies
Review of Key Issues Including Adoption of IFRS 18
Deloitte Anjin LLC will hold a seminar on the Korean business environment for Japanese companies and Japanese firms considering entry into the Korean market.
According to Deloitte Anjin, the "2027 Business Environment Changes and Response Strategies for Japanese Companies" seminar will be held online at 2:00 p.m. on October 20, 2026. The seminar aims to help Japanese companies respond to changes in the domestic business environment by sharing key issues and practical response measures. Topics include the adoption of IFRS 18, tax law amendments taking effect in the following year, recent trends in tax audits, and changes in the Korea-Japan labor market. All sessions will be conducted in Japanese.
In the first session, Seungsoo Kang, Partner in the Audit & Assurance Division of Deloitte Anjin, will present on the "Key Features of IFRS 18 and Response Strategies for Japanese Subsidiaries." This will be followed by a lecture from Myungkyu Kim, Partner in the Tax Advisory Division, on the "Key Points of the Amended Tax Laws in 2027." Next, Sungjae Lee, Partner in the Tax Advisory Division, will give a presentation on "Recent Trends in Tax Audits."
In the final session, Shuichi Komori, Manager in the Human Capital Division of Deloitte Consulting, will present on "Differences Between the Korean and Japanese Labor Markets and Challenges and Response Strategies for Japanese Companies Entering Korea." The session will be followed by a Q&A segment.
Applications to participate in the seminar can be submitted on the Deloitte Anjin website until October 15, 2026. After the registration deadline, participants will receive a separate notice with the online seminar access link.
