Analysis of 59 Listed Companies by Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Overall Market Capitalization Down 0.5% in Q3
The Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairperson Park Yunkyung) announced on October 6 that, based on an analysis of the market capitalization status (as of the closing price on September 30) of 59 listed companies in the Daegu area (22 KOSPI-listed companies and 37 KOSDAQ-listed companies), the market capitalization of local listed companies at the end of the third quarter of 2026 was 28.3737 trillion won. This is a decrease of 0.5% or 147.9 billion won compared to the end of the second quarter.
By market, the market capitalization of KOSPI-listed companies (22 companies) stood at 23.1826 trillion won, maintaining nearly the same level as the second quarter (an increase of 0.0% or 8.6 billion won), while that of KOSDAQ-listed companies (37 companies) was 5.1911 trillion won, representing a decrease of 2.9% or 156.5 billion won compared to the previous quarter.
The market capitalization of listed companies in the Daegu area increased for five consecutive quarters from the fourth quarter of 2024 to the first quarter of 2026, hitting its lowest point in Q4 2024, but has now decreased for two straight quarters. However, unlike the second quarter of 2026, when it fell by 6.9% from the previous quarter, the decline in the third quarter was significantly smaller at 0.5%.
As of the end of the third quarter of 2026, Isu Petasys Co., Ltd. ranked first in market capitalization among companies in the Daegu area. It was followed by L&F Co., Ltd., Korea Gas Corporation, iM Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., and SL Corporation, with the top five companies maintaining the same rankings as the previous quarter.
Within the top 10 companies, there were some changes. JVM Co., Ltd. rose from 11th to 9th place, and KBI Metal Co., Ltd. climbed from 19th to 10th, entering the TOP10 for the first time. In contrast, Chaevi Co., Ltd. and Trinity Air Co., Ltd., which were ranked 9th and 10th in the previous quarter, dropped to 12th and 11th, respectively.
Meanwhile, the combined market capitalization of the top 10 companies was 23.8536 trillion won, accounting for 84.1% of the total market capitalization of listed companies in the region.
By company size, among the 59 Daegu-based listed companies, those with a market capitalization of over 1 trillion won totaled five—a decrease of one company compared to the end of the previous quarter. There were 24 companies with a market capitalization between 100 billion won and 1 trillion won, unchanged from the previous quarter, while the number of companies with a market capitalization below 100 billion won increased by one to 30 companies.

Compared to the previous quarter, the number of companies with increased market capitalization was tallied at 30. Korea Gas Corporation led with the largest increase, up by 8.9% or 263.1 billion won compared to the end of the previous quarter. It was followed by iM Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (an increase of 193.2 billion won), KBI Metal Co., Ltd. (116.1 billion won), Korea Biensae Co., Ltd. (38.0 billion won), and L&F Co., Ltd. (37.6 billion won).
