'Resource Circulation DAY' Shinhan Financial Group Donates Over 200 Employee Items
On October 6, Shinhan Financial Group announced that it held "Resource Circulation DAY," during which employees donated and recycled items from their homes and offices.

View original imageThrough this campaign, employees donated 61 pieces of unused sports equipment—such as hiking, golf, and fitness gear—from their homes, along with 219 recyclable small flowerpots and orchid pots from their offices.
Jin Okdong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, and Jeong Sanghyuk, CEO of Shinhan Bank, also participated in the donation of sports equipment this year, following their involvement last year.
Shinhan Financial Group will select sports equipment and orchid pots suitable for resale and deliver them to Goodwill Store, a vocational rehabilitation facility for individuals with disabilities, for resale. The small flowerpots, after being repotted as part of a company volunteer program, will be donated to local children's centers located in the Sinhan SOL Bangwool Forest in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province.

Meanwhile, more than 600 employees participated in the company's first quarter campaign this year, donating 4,441 pieces of clothing, and in the second quarter, 22,945 kg of unused electronic devices were collected and repurposed. Shinhan Financial Group continues its resource circulation activities on a quarterly basis.
