'Immortal Songs' Special Performance at the Eve Festival on October 6
Traditional culture festivals will be held at the four major palaces—Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung—and Jongmyo Shrine.

View original imageThe Royal Palaces and Tombs Center of the National Heritage Administration and the National Institute of Heritage Promotion announced on the 6th that the 'Autumn Royal Culture Festival' will be held from October 7 to 11. This is the National Heritage Administration's flagship festival showcasing traditional culture at the palaces and Jongmyo Shrine. The event takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn.
Prior to the main event, a special pre-festival show by KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' will be held at 5 p.m. on the 6th at the Heungnyemun Square of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Hosts Shin Dongyeob, Kim Junhyun, and Lee Chanwon will lead the event, with performances by master singer Kim Youngim, Kim Changwan Band, Lyn, Lee Seunggi, Song Gain, Heo Yongbyeol, Park Jihyun, La Poem, BTOB, NMIXX, BOYNEXTDOOR, Xikers, and Honey J.
During the festival, each palace and Jongmyo Shrine will present programs highlighting their unique characteristics. At Gyeongbokgung Palace, on the evenings of the 9th and 10th, 'Gyeongbokgung Hanbok Yeonhyang' will feature royal strolls, a fashion talk show, and an ASMR concert. Changdeokgung Palace will offer the Heejeongdang special exhibition 'The Spatial Aesthetics of Joseon: The Order of White,' morning palace walks, the Chogye Munsin workshop, and a royal playroom.

View original imageAt Changgyeonggung Palace, visitors can experience 'Changgyeonggung Time Travel,' a re-creation of the Joseon royal court, as well as programs for seniors such as 'Eastern Palace Jangwonseo' and 'You in Hanbok, Walking in the Painting.' Deoksugung Palace will host the exhibition 'From Gwangmu to Yunghui,' the 'Junmyeongdang Children's School' for kids, and a scholarly seminar. At Jongmyo Shrine, there will be the 'Jongmyo Architecture Exploration Team' for youth and the 'Jongmyo Royal Guard Patrol Ritual' around the outer gate area.
