Ranked First in One-Month, One-Year, and Year-to-Date Returns
Achieves Outperformance Compared to the Nasdaq Index
Samsung Active Asset Management announced on October 6 that its “KoAct US Nasdaq Growth Equities Active” ETF ranked first in one-month returns among Nasdaq index-tracking ETFs.
This ETF recorded a 10.96% return over the past month. Year-to-date, it posted a return of 40.39%, while its one-year return reached 48.11%, marking the highest performance among its peers in each category.
The ETF also delivered excess returns compared to the Nasdaq index. During the same periods, the Nasdaq index recorded a 1.6% return for one month, 7.44% year-to-date, and 13.92% for one year.
These results have attracted continual inflows from individual investors. Since the beginning of the year, the cumulative net purchases by individual investors have totaled KRW 325.1 billion.
The company attributed its outperformance to nimble portfolio adjustments that reflected global macroeconomic trends and changes in the AI industry. Major holdings in the KoAct US Nasdaq Growth Equities Active ETF include Palantir (7.99%), SanDisk (5.85%), and Snowflake (4.94%), with a significant allocation to software companies that are pivotal for global firms’ AI transformation.
Furthermore, the ETF applied a barbell strategy by simultaneously including AI CPU-related companies—Intel (4.03%), AMD (3.66%), and ARM (2.18%)—which have become a new bottleneck with the advent of AI agents, thus boosting returns. As AI agents execute tasks, the required number of CPUs per GPU has increased by more than eight times, leading to explosive demand for CPUs.
