Since last year, Coramco has been overhauling specialized teams for core investment sectors such as offices, logistics, data centers, and hotels and residential properties, and has subdivided its capital raising, investment, and asset management functions. As the organization has become more specialized, the in-house MBA was launched based on the belief that each business professional needs systematic training to understand market changes and investment structures and to lead the overall business.
This course was conducted over about four months from June through October 2026, featuring a real estate finance-focused curriculum led by Hanyang University faculty. Rather than general business administration education, the program focused on practical real estate finance. The curriculum covered topics directly related to Coramco's operations such as real estate investment and development, project finance, capital markets, sustainable real estate finance, data centers, and the use of AI and data. The graduates not only completed the coursework but also implemented actual work assignments—identifying improvements in investment review, asset management, and contract management—which validated the effectiveness of the program.
Coramco aims to establish a talent development model that links education and work outcomes through the in-house MBA. The purpose is to use AI and data-driven tools to streamline repetitive tasks so employees can focus more on high value-added work such as investment decision-making, structuring, and risk management.
This MBA program is one axis of Coramco's comprehensive talent management system underway. In July, Coramco completed a real estate executive program at Yonsei University's Sangnam Institute of Management for its division heads. For executives, the company provides advanced programs focusing on market changes, investment insight, and network-building; for operational staff, it operates the in-house MBA with Hanyang University, thereby segmenting educational tracks to suit job levels and roles.
Furthermore, Coramco is integrating global exposure and skill development into a unified framework by adding overseas training in advanced real estate markets such as Japan and Singapore, a Deal & Insight Session that shares actual investment, development, and divestment cases, and AI practical training for employees, thus linking global market experience, practical knowledge sharing, digital competency, and next-generation leadership development under one comprehensive system.
Additionally, word that Coramco is investing heavily in talent has led to a steady stream of professional personnel from competitors joining the company, and there is growing feedback that internal employees have a clearer sense of responsibility and work, resulting in increased engagement.
Coramco plans to institutionalize both the in-house MBA and the real estate executive program, and is reviewing gradual expansion of the pool of trainees. Building on the practical applicability demonstrated in this first session, the company intends to expand the training scope beyond real estate investment, development, and operations to include AI and data analytics, risk management, and global investment strategies.
Seunghoe Jung, CEO of Coramco Asset Trust, stated, "The greatest significance of this in-house MBA is not simply acquiring new knowledge, but connecting that learning to actual change in work practices. AI and data are rapidly transforming how we work, but ultimately, it is people who make final decisions on which assets to invest in and what risks to undertake."

He added, "It is also important that talents from different sectors such as trust, REITs, and asset management studied together, sharing perspectives and experiences from each business area.
