This event, which means "A Step Toward the Development of a Basic Society: Everyone's Conversation," is designed to share policy proposals from experts and life experiences from citizens, as well as to identify policy needs in each region. Any Hwaseong citizen can participate.
Jung Kyun-seung, a member of the Presidential Committee on Basic Social Policies, will serve as the moderator, while fellow committee member Kim Joungho and Hwaseong Basic Social Committee members Park Myunghee, Jeong Sanghee, Jeong Hancheol, and Cho Seongjin will participate as panelists.
The event will feature expert presentations, panel discussions, and citizen participation programs. Before entering, citizens will be able to indicate their opinions using stickers on policy questions related to income, care, housing, transportation, education and culture, and aging. Experts will then discuss based on the voting results, followed by a session where citizens can directly propose the policies and ideas they need.
The schedule for each region is as follows: Manse District on October 8 at the Manse Hall of Hwaseong City Family Center, Hyohang District on October 16 at the Staircase Lecture Room of Hwaseong Citizen University, Byeongjeom District on October 23 at the Grand Conference Room of the Hwasandong Administrative Welfare Center, and Dongtan District on October 29 at the Conference Hall of Hwaseong Dongtan 2 Incubating Center. All events will start at 2 p.m.
The city plans to analyze the opinions from experts and suggestions from citizens and utilize them as foundational data to discover and concretize Hwaseong-style basic social policies.
