Nepali Worker in His 20s Found Dead in Accommodation Days Before Returning Home
A Nepali worker in his 20s, who was scheduled to return home in ten days, was found dead in his accommodation, prompting a police investigation.
According to the Integrated Fire and Disaster Headquarters of Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, a report was received at approximately 7:05 a.m. on the previous day that A, a Nepali national in his 20s, had collapsed in the staff quarters of a pig farm located in Mangun-myeon, Muan-gun, Gwangju, Jeollanam-do.
The fire authorities who responded to the scene handed over A, who was found deceased, to the police.
It was found that A, who was off work the previous day, had not shown up for work past the scheduled starting time, prompting a farm employee to check the accommodation, where he found A.
A's visa was set to expire on the 14th, and gift packages, believed to have been prepared for his return home, were found inside the room.
