Yangcheon District Office in Seoul (Mayor: Lee Kijae) announced on October 4, 2026 that a solo exhibition by local artist Han Jihyun, entitled "Approaching the Eye Level: Altitude of Perception," will be held from October 7 to 29 at the 'Omok Han Art Museum' inside Omok Park.

View original imageThis exhibition showcases the artist's work, which has observed the "surplus spaces" that people pass by unnoticed in streets and urban areas and reinterpreted them as new spatial possibilities. Drawing upon work that Han Jihyun has continued since 2015, the exhibition features about 22 pieces, ranging from her initial approach of documenting spaces as images and maps to her recent works that allow visitors to unfold, examine, and directly experience the pieces. It is designed to prompt viewers to reinterpret gaps in roads, urban voids, and other often-overlooked places from the artist’s perspective.
Omok Han Art Museum is an open exhibition space created through the renovation of Omok Park. It presents different artworks every month, including paintings, wood sculptures, and ceramic crafts. From January to August this year, a total of 20,517 visitors were recorded.
Throughout this month, other exhibition and program activities will continue in different areas of the park. At 'Geurim Shelter', from October 8 to 22, the exhibition "Time of the World on Canvas," featuring works by 23 local elementary and middle school students, will be held. The exhibition will display paintings of landmarks and iconic landscapes from various countries around the world. At the 'Plant Shelter', there will be a plant exhibition, houseplant consultations, and the "Our Neighborhood Gardening Cafe."
The leisure facilities in Omok Park are open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. They are closed on Mondays and public holidays, and will also be closed on October 9, Hangul Day, which falls during the exhibition period. Admission to the exhibition is free and does not require a reservation.
