Opposition Holds Large-Scale Outdoor Rally: "Condemning Lee for Security Disaster and Humiliating Diplomacy"
First Outdoor Rally in About a Year Since September 28 Last Year’s Condemnation Rally
The People Power Party held the "Judge the Lee Jae-myung Administration, Restore People's Livelihood, and Protect National Security Action Rally" in front of Sungnyemun, Jung-gu, Seoul on October 3, ahead of the upcoming National Assembly audit.

Participants chanted slogans such as "Condemn Lee Jae-myung for the security disaster and humiliating diplomacy" and "Whenever he opens his eyes, he intimidates the judiciary—guarantee judicial independence."
During the rally, the People Power Party criticized the abolition of the prosecution service, the explosion of North Korean landmines, and the ongoing issues surrounding President Lee's trial.
CEO Jang stated, "The president's approval rating has stabilized in the 30% range. Soon, it will stabilize in the 20% and then the 10% range." He continued, "The other day, he even posted the term 'jwaa-a-hage,' a phrase typically used by extreme leftists, on social media. To the 'jwaa-a-han' president, let us shout out gracefully." He then led the chants, "Completely overhaul real estate policy," "Immediately halt the full-scale farmland survey," "Accept an independent counsel for the ETF case," and "Resume the trial of Lee Jae-myung."
Floor Leader Jeong also said, "Despite North Korean landmine provocations, there was not a single word of criticism towards North Korea. What kind of leverage does Kim Jong Un have over him?" He added, "A cabinet of criminals has created a heaven for criminals. There is only one reason the president is engaged in politics—to eliminate his own trial. The very existence of the president is a violation of the Constitution. The conservatives of Korea will establish and defend the Republic of Korea," he emphasized.
All supreme council members rose to the podium, and when Woo Jaejun, a Youth Supreme Council member from the pro-Han Donghoon faction—often known for expressing differing opinions from the mainstream—spoke, some hardline party members jeered.
Yoo Dong-gyu, former head of planning for Seongnam Development Corporation and widely known as the 'keyman of the Daejang-dong scandal,' also took the stage as a speaker, shouting, "Lee Jae-myung is a liar officially recognized by the court. He must stand trial."
