The Chinese government has reportedly launched an anti-dumping investigation into para-nitrotoluene, a chemical intermediate originating from the European Union (EU).
According to China's state-run Xinhua News Agency on October 3, China's Ministry of Commerce announced that it had begun an anti-dumping investigation into para-nitrotoluene imported from the EU, following a petition from domestic industry.

The Ministry of Commerce explained that, according to a preliminary investigation, the import price of para-nitrotoluene from the EU decreased by approximately 60% between 2022 and 2025.
