President Lee Jae-myung stated on October 3, "Normalizing the economy, which had been experiencing negative growth, was an urgent task to address the immediate issues of daily livelihood, and this economic normalization is now yielding considerable results."
On this day, President Lee shared a post by Minister of Planning and Budget Park Hong-keun on X (formerly Twitter) that said, "The economy continues on a path of recovery." Minister Park explained that the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has raised its forecast for South Korea's growth rate this year by 1.1 percentage points to 3.7%, marking the largest upward revision among the G20 countries.
President Lee commended, "Minister Park and all officials at the Ministry of Planning and Budget are performing exceptionally well," and praised, "Thanks to the wholehearted efforts of public officials, the nation is rapidly returning to normal." He further conveyed, "As a representative of the people, I sincerely thank all public officials for their dedication and commitment to the country and its citizens."
