On October 15, Gumi City will hold the "Samsung C&T & Local Construction Companies Win-Win Cooperation Matching Day" in the main conference hall at City Hall.

This event marks the first time Gumi City has invited a major general contractor to meet directly with local companies.

Representatives from the Samsung C&T headquarters will participate to explain the partner registration procedure, qualification requirements, and safety-related systems, as well as provide one-on-one consultations with each company.

In particular, the event will share the order plan for the Samsung SDS Gumi AI Data Center, detailing which fields local companies can participate in.

There are 15 recruitment fields, including auxiliary civil engineering work.

Companies wishing to participate can apply through the relevant associations from October 2 to 8. After an association review, two to three companies per field will be selected to take part in the Matching Day event.

Changho Kim, Mayor of Gumi, said, "For large-scale investments to lead to the growth of local companies and revitalization of the local economy, it is essential to establish practical connections between companies," and added, "We will continue to expand win-win cooperation opportunities connecting large corporations and local businesses."

Attention is focusing on whether the investment in the Samsung SDS AI Data Center will translate into meaningful contract opportunities for local construction companies.
