KOSPI Returns to the "Seven-Thousand Mark" After Five Sessions... KOSDAQ Ends Slightly Lower
The KOSPI reclaimed the “seven-thousand mark” after five trading days. The KOSDAQ, which had been rising for five consecutive sessions and was approaching the 900-point level, ended the day slightly lower.

Although individuals and foreign investors continued to sell, strong buying from institutional investors and other corporations supported the market. By investor type, individuals and foreign investors recorded net sales of 1.7206 trillion won and 135.7 billion won, respectively, while institutions and other corporations posted net purchases of 381.4 billion won and 1.483 trillion won, respectively.
Most sectors rose. Chemical (+3.32%), metals (+1.75%), and telecommunications (+1.26%) ended higher, while pharmaceuticals (-2.46%), construction (-0.99%), and entertainment & culture (-0.55%) declined.
Among the top 20 stocks by market capitalization, performance was mixed. Hanwha Aerospace (+3.68%), LG Energy Solution (+2.91%), and Samsung SDI (+2.32%) saw notable gains, while Samsung Biologics (-4.51%), HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (-1.27%), and Doosan Enerbility (-1.22%) declined.
The KOSDAQ fell 1.00 points (0.11%) from the previous session to close at 893.29.
By investor type, individuals and institutions registered net purchases of 81.5 billion won and 93.8 billion won, respectively. Foreign investors, however, posted net sales of 174.2 billion won.
By sector, telecommunications (+3.01%), financials (+2.94%), and paper & lumber (+2.44%) posted the biggest gains, while non-metals (-3.50%), distribution (-2.52%), and general services (-2.19%) saw the steepest declines.

Among the top 20 KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization, more stocks declined than rose. Robotis (+4.89%), Simmtech (+4.70%), and Ecopro (+4.47%) were among the gainers, while ISC (-8.24%), PSK (-6.11%), and EO Technics (-5.67%) posted notable losses.
