GC Green Cross Unveils Research Results of Proprietary mRNA-LNP Platform
Major Research Achievements Announced at Domestic and International Conferences
GC Green Cross announced on October 2 that it recently presented major research achievements related to its proprietary mRNA-LNP platform at the second Gene and Cell Therapy Summit (GCT 2026) held in Austria and at the 2026 Korean Society for Biotechnology Fall Academic Presentation Conference and International Symposium.
During these presentations, GC Green Cross highlighted its mRNA-LNP platform capabilities through topics such as “Strategic Design of a Versatile mRNA-LNP Platform for Targeted Chronic Disease Therapy and Precision Delivery” and “Integrated mRNA-LNP and Manufacturing Platforms for GC Green Cross’s Next-Generation Therapeutics.”

GC Green Cross’s proprietary LNP also demonstrated stable protein expression without inducing PEG-specific antibodies even after repeated intravenous administration in primate models, thereby confirming its potential for use in chronic disease areas where repeated dosing is necessary.
Utilizing structure-activity relationship (SAR) modeling, the company established an exclusive lipid library and, based on this, has secured LNP candidate substances capable of selectively targeting specific organs and cells.
The potential of the proprietary LNP was also confirmed in cancer vaccine research. In studies applying this LNP, antigen-specific CD8+ T cell responses were stronger than those achieved with benchmarks, and significant tumor size reduction was observed in animal models.
Based on these research achievements, GC Green Cross plans to expand the application scope of its mRNA-LNP platform to rare genetic diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases, anticancer immunotherapies, and vaccines.
