Hanwha Investment & Securities Launches Instagram Webtoon Event with Upbit
Hanwha Investment & Securities’ “Jaram” Meets Upbit’s “Umbeat”
Hanwha Investment & Securities announced on October 2 that it will hold an Instagram webtoon launch event in collaboration with Upbit.
Since May, Hanwha Investment & Securities has been serializing its own “Jaram and Friends” Instagram webtoon, featuring the original character “Jaram,” through its official Instagram account.
The "Jaram and Friends" Instagram webtoon features “Jaram,” a squirrel character who symbolizes novice investors who are good at saving acorns but tend to forget where they put them—representing inexperience in asset management. The story follows Jaram as the character meets various friends in the forest, gaining financial and investment knowledge through a variety of experiences.
In the 14th episode of the webtoon, "Umbeat," a character from Upbit, the digital asset exchange operated by Dunamu, makes a new appearance.
"Umbeat," which stands for "Umcheongnan Beat" (meaning "Amazing Beat"), is a character that, despite its cute and soft exterior, has an unpredictable and quirky charm. Alongside Jaram, Umbeat will make complex information about digital assets fun and accessible to readers.
The two companies plan to post about 10 episodes on their official Instagram accounts, jointly expanding the characters’ universe and broadening their digital asset content.
Meanwhile, a launch event is also being held. By following Hanwha Investment & Securities’ official Instagram account and leaving a supporting comment on the event post, participants will have a chance to win prizes via a raffle: ▲ First prize (10 winners): 50,000 won Naver Pay points ▲ Second prize (20 winners): 30,000 won Naver Pay points ▲ Third prize (50 winners): a Jaram·Umbeat character goods set (including a bottle, desk pad, etc.).
