Yeongyang Love Gift Certificate Now Usable in Delivery Apps... Meokkaebi Payment Option Enabled
Expansion of Local Currency Usage with Public Delivery App Integration
5% Cashback at Affordable Restaurants Until Year-End
Yeongyang County announced on October 1 that, starting from September 29, it has launched an integrated payment service that allows users to pay with Yeongyang Love Gift Certificates on the 'Meokkaebi' public delivery app for small business owners.
As a result, users can now use Yeongyang Love Gift Certificates as a payment method when ordering food deliveries from local restaurants through the Meokkaebi app.
Previously, the Meokkaebi app did not support payments using the Yeongyang Love Gift Certificate, but with this integration, local currency can now be used for online delivery orders.
The county expects that by expanding the local currency's usage to public delivery apps, it will not only improve user convenience but also help boost local consumption and increase sales for small businesses in the area.
Additionally, until December 31, if customers pay with the Yeongyang Love Card at participating affordable restaurants in the region, they will receive 5% cashback on their payment amount.
The cashback applies only to payments made with regular Yeongyang Love Gift Certificates; amounts paid using the basic income will not be eligible.
Accordingly, users of the Yeongyang Love Gift Certificate can use the local currency for orders placed through Meokkaebi and also receive separate cashback benefits at affordable restaurants.

The competitiveness of local currency depends not on the scale of issuance, but on how easily and widely residents can use it.
The integration of the Yeongyang Love Gift Certificate with public delivery apps is significant as it expands the consumption sphere of local currency from offline channels to the mobile-based daily economy.
