Daedong Launches Deutz-Fahr High-Horsepower Tractors in Korea... Strengthening Efforts to Target Large-Scale Farms

Expanding the 180-240 Horsepower Lineup
Targeting Agribusinesses and Large-Scale Farms

Daedong announced on the 1st that it has launched four high-horsepower tractor models from the German agricultural machinery brand Deutz-Fahr in Korea and will strengthen its efforts to target the large-scale farming market.

Currently, Daedong develops and produces its own tractors with horsepower ranging from 20 to 140, supplying these models to both domestic and overseas markets. For higher horsepower models, the company introduces products from global agricultural machinery companies. The newly released lineup consists of four models with 180, 210, 230, and 240 horsepower. Daedong plans to expand its range of high-horsepower products aimed at large-scale cultivation and agricultural work services provided by agribusinesses and large farms, while also pursuing integration with precision agriculture services.

The Deutz-Fahr tractors can perform multiple tasks in a single pass, depending on the combination of implements. This reduces the number of trips across the same field, minimizing work time and decreasing the burden of soil compaction caused by heavy equipment passing repeatedly. The tractors are also equipped with features designed to relieve driver workload. The 'TTV CVT' system smoothly controls driving speed without shift shock when changing gears, helping to maintain a consistent set working speed. The tractors support 'SDS sequence control', which saves repetitive operating sequences and executes them with the press of a single button. The engine oil change interval has been extended to 1,000 hours, reducing work interruptions due to maintenance.

Choi Hyungwoo, head of Daedong's Domestic Business Division, stated, "In large-scale cultivation and contract farming operations, it is vital to have equipment capable of reliably performing a large volume of work during the short busy season," adding, "By integrating precision agriculture technology with our high-horsepower lineup, we will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of our products and services for large-scale farming customers."
