Buy ETFs with an ISA and Get Vouchers... Kiwoom Securities Launches Event with 9 Asset Management Firms
Kiwoom Securities announced on October 1 that it will hold an event until December 30 for customers trading ETFs through brokerage-type ISA accounts, offering mobile vouchers as rewards.
Customers who make net purchases of event-participant ETFs from asset management companies through their brokerage-type ISA accounts will be eligible to receive mobile vouchers based on the net purchase amount. The vouchers will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for each asset management company. Customers who meet the requirements for all nine asset management companies participating in the promotion can receive benefits totaling up to 270,000 won.
This event features the participation of nine asset management companies, an increase from the previous promotion. Therefore, investors are able to choose from a greater variety of ETFs according to their preferences. The size of the benefits has also increased accordingly.
The participating asset management companies are: ▲Mirae Asset Global Investments (TIGER) ▲Samsung Asset Management (KODEX) ▲Samsung Active Asset Management (KoAcT) ▲Shinhan Asset Management (SOL) ▲Kiwoom Investment Asset Management (KIWOOM) ▲TIMEFOLIO Asset Management (TIME) ▲Truston Asset Management (TRUSTON) ▲Korea Investment Management (ACE) ▲KB Asset Management (RISE).
Customers who open a brokerage-type ISA account with Kiwoom Securities for the first time will receive additional benefits. New customers who make net purchases of 300,000 won or more in eligible ETFs can receive up to nine coffee gift icons, one from each participating asset management company, awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
However, to receive the event benefits, customers must apply for participation. Detailed information is available on the Kiwoom Securities website.
A brokerage-type ISA is a tax-saving account that allows individuals to directly invest in a wide range of financial products, including domestic stocks, through a single account. For positive net income—total account gains minus losses—up to 2 million won for standard accounts, and up to 4 million won for preferential accounts for low-income earners, are exempted from taxation. However, if the account is terminated before fulfilling the mandatory 3-year membership period, the tax benefits cannot be claimed.
