Showcasing End-to-End Services and Production Capacity
Strategy to Expand Order Opportunities
Samsung Biologics will participate in major pharmaceutical and biotech events throughout October in Japan, Italy, the United States, and Korea. The company aims to expand touchpoints with global clients and highlight its production capacity and next-generation modality technologies to enhance its competitiveness in contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) orders.
On October 1, Samsung Biologics announced that it will take part in "Bio Japan 2026," held in Yokohama, Japan, from October 7 to 9. This marks the company’s fourth consecutive year of participation since 2023, and, as with last year, it will operate an independent booth this year.
At the site, the company plans to showcase its end-to-end services encompassing research and development through to manufacturing and its large-scale production capabilities, with the goal of attracting new clients in Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
On the first day of the event, Executive Vice President James Choi, Head of Business Support, will give a presentation on "Integrated CDMO Services to Address the Evolving Demands of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Companies." In the same session, Yeon Jeong Choi, a professional from the New Modality Group, will unveil research findings on optimizing antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) conjugation processes using computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Samsung Biologics will also participate in "CPHI Milan 2026," held in Milan, Italy, from October 6 to 8. The company will set up an exclusive booth to introduce its contract manufacturing organization (CMO) competitiveness, global production network, and expertise in the multimodality sector to global pharmaceutical companies and other potential clients.
From October 12 to 15, the company will attend "World ADC San Diego" in San Diego, United States, to promote its ADC production and development capabilities. Mark Studer, Head of ADC and mRNA Operations, will deliver a presentation focusing on key factors in expanding Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) production of ADC drugs.
Jina Kim, Group Leader of the ADC Platform Discovery Group, and Segyu Oh, a professional at the Organoid Technology Group, will each present research findings via posters on bispecific ADCs and patient-derived organoid studies, respectively.
In Korea, Samsung Biologics will participate in "BioPlus Interphex Korea 2026 (BIX)," held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from October 28 to 30. Taehee Lee, Executive Director of the Antibody Cell Purification Process Development Team, is scheduled to present strategies for developing bispecific and multispecific antibodies.
