Gyeonggi Agency and Smilegate to Train University Student AI Education Facilitators
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is joining forces with Smilegate Hope Studio to train AI education facilitators for local community child centers.
The agency held a kickoff meeting for the “AI Education Facilitator Training Project” on September 30 as part of the “Gyeonggi AI Digital Learning Center” initiative. Through this project, university students will be trained as AI education facilitators to support AI-based creative activities for children at community child centers.
Under this project, teams consisting of two university students and one community child center teacher will develop AI education programs tailored to their respective institutions. They will provide a total of six mentoring sessions for children at community child centers between October and November.

The attendees experienced hands-on creative education methods and learned teaching skills by directly participating in activities such as character and story planning using generative AI, as well as game production.
After the project ends, the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency and Smilegate Hope Studio plan to analyze its outcomes, develop an AI creative education guide, and establish a concrete AI education model that can be used in educational settings such as community child centers.
