HANA Aerodynamics Signs MOU with Hanwha Aerospace for UAV Production Cooperation
HANA Aerodynamics has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the "Expansion of Domestic Production and Technical·Production Cooperation for the Mojave STOL UAV," hosted by Hanwha Aerospace.
According to HANA Aerodynamics on October 1, a total of 16 domestic companies, including HANA Aerodynamics, participated in this agreement. The companies agreed to cooperate on expanding the domestic production of the Mojave STOL UAV, localizing its parts and components, and collaborating in technical and production fields.
The participating companies set a common goal to carry out more than 70% of the UAV airframe production in Korea during the future commercialization and mass production phases. They also plan to discover domestic production items, transfer production in stages, and secure competitiveness in quality and manufacturing.
HANA Aerodynamics is participating in this cooperation based on its existing aviation manufacturing capabilities, including aircraft structure manufacturing·assembly, precision machining, sheet metal, and jig & tool fabrication. Through this initiative, the company plans to expand its business portfolio beyond manned aircraft to include UAVs and defense sectors.

Changhwan Son, CEO of HANA Aerodynamics, stated, "It is significant to be involved in building the domestic UAV production ecosystem through this cooperation," and added, "HAD will expand new business opportunities in the UAV sector by leveraging its strengths in aviation manufacturing."
