Based on this, the company aims to achieve an operating margin target of 8% by 2030.
The company has set a goal to expand its global sales from the current approximately 75 billion won to 500 billion won by 2030. It plans to extend its business model, proven at Costco in the United States, to other regions and distribution channels while increasing exports of its signature bakery products and K-desserts.
Sales related to Costco in the United States are expected to grow fivefold from 30 billion won this year to 150 billion won by 2030, and the number of stores handling these products will be expanded from 300 to over 900 globally. The product lineup will also be expanded from the current two to six categories.
The food business will be reorganized with a focus on profitability. Samlip will strengthen the competitiveness of its sandwich and salad businesses and broaden its reach by supplying B2B low-sugar and wellness sauces, as well as by expanding into K-sauces and ready-meal products. The processed meat division will concentrate on B2B channels, aiming to improve annual profit and loss by about 2.5 billion won. By winding down non-core businesses, the company is targeting an additional 14 billion won improvement in profitability.
Shareholder returns will also be enhanced. The company plans to set a medium- to long-term dividend payout ratio target of 30% and to systematize investment recovery standards. Major key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial performance will be disclosed quarterly.
At the same time, Samlip will implement 10 core initiatives across four key areas to strengthen safety management within this year. From January to August this year, Samlip’s cumulative accident rate was 0.48%, lower than the food industry average of 0.99% reported by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency last year.
