Korea Securities Depository and Related Institutions Establish 'Secondary Fund' to Boost Exit Market
On September 30, Korea Securities Depository announced that it will establish a 'secondary fund' worth a total of approximately 1 trillion won over the next three years, together with securities-related institutions such as Korea Exchange, Korea Securities Finance, and Koscom, in order to vitalize the venture capital exit market.
This fund, formed through internal resolutions by each institution to support the government's productive finance reinforcement policy, will serve as a reliable relief pitcher for the venture industry struggling with liquidity shortages. It is also expected to lay the foundation for the sustainable growth of innovative venture companies and contribute to the innovative growth of the country's economy.
