National Pension Inquiry and Application Now Possible via KakaoTalk... Kakao Links AI National Secretary
Check National Pension Subscription History and Apply for Voluntary Enrollment
Kakao announced on September 30 that it will link National Pension Service functions to the AI-based conversational public service "AI National Secretary," which is being piloted in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Users can handle everything from viewing their National Pension subscription history to applying for voluntary enrollment through KakaoTalk chats.
Kakao began integrating the subscription history inquiry service into the AI National Secretary on September 17, and from today, users can now also apply for voluntary enrollment.

When user authentication is required, the process is carried out using the Kakao certificate. Just before submitting the application, users review the estimated insurance premium and related information and give their final consent.
If a user requests, "Show me my National Pension subscription history," they will receive information about their enrollment period and payment details after authentication. If they ask, "Can I apply for voluntary enrollment?" the system will check their eligibility and inform them of the result. Users can also calculate their estimated insurance premium based on their preferred monthly income, such as by asking, "How much is the insurance premium for a monthly income of 3 million won?"
Kakao plans to further advance service integration through discussions with the National Pension Service and develop the AI National Secretary into an intelligent public AI service by linking a variety of public services, including the National Pension, into a single conversational process.
