DGIST Startup SE Innovations Secures 3 Billion Won Investment for Autonomous Mobile Robot Automation Technology
DGIST (President Lee Geonwoo) startup company SE Innovations Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Kim Jeongjun and Park Hyungseok) announced on the 30th that it has raised Pre-A investment totaling 3 billion won from three institutions: Quantum Ventures Korea, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and Daekyo Investment. The funding recognizes SE Innovations' technological capabilities in automating the entire process of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) deployment, from installation and maintenance to the integration of heterogeneous robots.
Although the adoption of AMRs is rapidly increasing in manufacturing and logistics sites, there are significant challenges in practice. Installing robots, generating maps, diagnosing errors, and managing multiple robots within a single system all require substantial manpower and time. Additionally, as the number of robots in operation grows, the complexity of maintenance and integrated management also increases.

The platform leverages AI to analyze the actual movements of robots and on-site data, automating repetitive installation, maintenance, and integrated work tasks previously carried out by humans.
At the maintenance stage, SynK detects operational anomalies or positioning errors in robots, provides guidance on causes and response methods, and immediately resolves errors that can be auto-recovered. In addition, it offers a 'Smart Charging' feature, managing optimal charging times and standards based on operational data.
At the integration stage, SynK enables management of multiple AMRs from different manufacturers and models within a single environment. This eliminates dependence on systems from specific manufacturers and allows the operation of diverse robots together, thereby reducing management complexity as the scale of AMR deployment grows.
SynK's main advantage is its ability to reduce the personnel and time required for AMR installation and maintenance, while also lowering the cost burden arising from on-site dispatches and operational downtime. SE Innovations has solidified its business foundation with selection for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups TIPS program and venture company certification. In 2026, the company successfully exported its technology to Taiwan, marking its entry into overseas markets.
SE Innovations plans to use the investment to further advance SynK’s product and technology, as well as to secure key talent. The company also aims to expand its reseller network and customer applications in Korea and Taiwan, accelerating commercialization and market validation of its products.
