Turning AI into Real Results... Samsung Electronics Holds 'Samsung AI Forum 2026'
Over 400 Participants Including OpenAI, AWS, and Leading Scholars
Sharing Case Studies of On-Device AI and World Model Applications
Younghyun Jeon: "Agentic AI Will Transform Work and Organizational Culture"
Samsung Electronics gathered leading global scholars in artificial intelligence (AI) and industry experts to discuss ways to connect the latest AI technologies, such as agentic AI and physical AI, to real-world work and business outcomes.
On September 30, Samsung Electronics announced that it held the 'Samsung AI Forum 2026' at its Seocho office building in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the forum was themed 'The Agentic Shift: From Intelligence to Impact.' The event was attended on-site by 100 professors and researchers from graduate schools specializing in AI in Korea, as well as 300 employees working in the AI sector at Samsung Electronics, totaling 400 participants, and was also broadcast live online.

During the morning keynote session, experts and distinguished academics from global big tech companies examined the future direction for next-generation AI technology. Richard Ho, Vice President of Hardware at OpenAI, highlighted the transformative impact that agentic AI—capable of autonomous decision-making based on large language models (LLM)—will have on companies and the broader industry. David Green, the Asia Pacific and Japan AI Technology Leader at AWS, received significant attention for presenting security and governance strategies to implement agentic AI in enterprise environments in a secure and cost-effective manner.
Ranjay Krishna, a renowned researcher in the physical AI field and professor at the University of Washington, introduced a new paradigm for overcoming the reasoning limitations of vision-language models and enabling high-performance robotics AI even with small-scale models. Yoonhyung Kim, Executive Director at Samsung Research and adjunct professor at MIT, a leading figure in generative AI and language models, introduced next-generation 'Agentic Intelligence' architectural innovations aimed at strengthening agent capabilities and expanding their applications.
The afternoon sessions were divided into two tracks: the Device Experience (DX) Division's 'AI Technology' track and the Device Solutions (DS) Division's 'AI Transformation Innovation (AX Innovation)' track, covering concrete research achievements and application cases.
In the AI Technology track, presentations covered on-device AI optimization technologies, the 'World Model' that learns how the real world operates to predict situations, and 'Self-Evolving AI,' which analyzes real user experiences and inconveniences to actively improve performance.
