Orient Precision Industries Decides on 2-to-1 Reverse Stock Split to Enhance Corporate Value
Orient Precision Industries has decided to implement a 2-to-1 reverse stock split to enhance its corporate value.
According to Orient Precision Industries on September 30, as a result of this reverse stock split, the par value per share will increase from 500 won to 1,000 won. The total number of issued shares will decrease from 35,742,912 shares to 17,871,456 shares. There will be no change in capital, so there will be no impact on the company’s financial soundness.
The company plans to hold an extraordinary general shareholders’ meeting on November 10 to approve the reverse stock split agenda. If approved, trading of shares will be suspended from November 23 to December 13, with the record date for the stock split set for November 25.
The company explained that through this reverse stock split, it aims to stabilize its stock price by maintaining an appropriate number of floating shares, as well as to accelerate performance in its core electrification parts business and new ventures, thereby maximizing corporate value.
