This event, organized by the Seoul National University Research Institute of Biotechnology, is a bio-convergence event in which faculty, researchers, graduate students, and representatives from hospitals, companies, investment institutions, and startups share their research achievements and discuss pathways for technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, and industry-academic-hospital collaboration. This year’s program included keynote speeches, special lectures on bio innovation and entrepreneurship, research achievement exhibitions, company promotional booths, and networking opportunities.
The city highlighted the research, clinical, talent development, and business infrastructure of its bio cluster, which is centered around the SNU Siheung Campus and collaborates with Siheung Baegot Seoul National University Hospital, Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical, Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR), and the Gyeonggi Siheung SNU Pharmaceutical and Bio Talent Development Center.
In addition, the city met with SNU researchers, bio company representatives, and investment institutions to discuss potential joint research, technology transfer, commercialization, and investment partnerships. Siheung City also worked to expand its collaborative network by engaging with researchers, students, and other stakeholders in the bio sector to vitalize the specialized complex.
