During the inaugural meeting, items such as the founding report, approval of the articles of incorporation, and board director appointments were addressed. Immediately afterward, at the board meeting that followed, Jung Yushin, Distinguished Professor at Sogang University's Graduate School of Business, was appointed as the first CEO of Nexchange.
Appointed as outside directors were Lee Moonyoung, a professor of accounting at Duksung Women's University, and Lee Bongheon, former director at the Korea Financial Investment Association. Other non-executive directors include Kim Haksoo, CEO of Next Trade, and Han Ilhyeon, director at Shinhan Investment Corp.
Nexchange aims to provide differentiated trading services that enhance investor convenience, including 12-hour trading sessions, low fee structures, and various order types. At the same time, the company plans to establish a comprehensive investor protection system, including market stabilization mechanisms and an investor protection fund. Nexchange has also committed to building close partnerships with related organizations such as issuers, securities firms, and the Korea Securities Depository.
Jung Yushin, the inaugural CEO, stated, "Nexchange will proceed smoothly with acquiring the main license for profit security investment brokerage, ensuring that the company establishes itself as a highly credible distribution infrastructure for the fractional investment market. In particular, by building a credible OTC trading market, we aim to improve the low liquidity and price discovery difficulties that have previously been highlighted as limitations, thereby creating a more convenient and rational trading environment."
Initially, Nexchange plans to operate the market centered on fractional investment products, such as music intellectual property (IP), aircraft engines, and real estate loan receivables. The company also plans to gradually expand its coverage to include artwork, webtoons, performance rights, and sales receivables in the future.
