The People Power Party visited the front lines in the West Sea as the party intensified its offensive against the government and the ruling party over the landmine explosion incident in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). The relevant standing committee of the National Assembly has decided to focus on uncovering the facts of the situation.

The People Power Party also announced that in the National Defense Committee's plenary session scheduled for that afternoon, it would focus on uncovering the truth of the DMZ incident by conducting inquiries into the possibility of North Korean involvement, as well as the reporting and instruction process involving the presidential office. Assemblyman Yoo Yongwon, a member of the National Defense Committee, stated at the party's policy meeting that day, "The committee will rigorously scrutinize the cause of the incident and the reasons for the delayed investigation. The government must lodge a strong protest with North Korea and demand an official apology and responsible measures to prevent a recurrence."
