KB Securities Launches "Embedded Finance" Service on OK Cashback
"Securities" Service Launches in "Today's Investment"
Feature on OK Cashback App
KB Securities announced on September 29 that the company has launched a "Securities" service within the "Today's Investment" feature on the OK Cashback app operated by SK Planet.
Customers can use the KB Securities account opening, domestic and overseas stock trading, and fractional investment features directly within the OK Cashback app, without the need to install a separate securities company app. OK Cashback points, accumulated in daily life, can be converted into available funds in a KB Securities account and used for investing.
This service was implemented by integrating KB Securities' financial services and the OK Cashback platform via API (Application Programming Interface) technology, based on a business partnership agreement between the two companies signed last April. API technology connects different systems so that they can exchange data and functions, and through this connection, customers can access KB Securities' main financial services from within the OK Cashback app.
KB Securities is expanding its “embedded finance” strategy, integrating financial functionality into non-financial platforms so that customers can naturally utilize financial services within familiar apps. Previously, financial services were connected to the BC Card "Paybook" app, and the company has now further expanded its customer touchpoints through OK Cashback.
To mark the launch of the service, new customer promotions have also been prepared. Starting in October, OK Cashback will run the "Lucky Investment Competition" and a "Point Payback for Domestic Stock Purchases" event. Detailed information about each event's terms and benefits is available in the OK Cashback app.
